Chamber celebrates continuing success of blue chip patrons scheme
North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce has re-launched its successful Patrons Scheme for the fifth year running giving an elite group of organisations the chance to network at the highest level.
A total of 14 blue chip companies are now signed up to the scheme with leading data communications and internet services provider Internet Central coming on board for the first time at this year's launch ceremony held on August 6.
Founder patrons Bentley Jennison, Grindeys, Poppleton & Appleby, Staffordshire Sentinel Newspapers and Waterford Wedgwood have all committed for a fifth year.
The Royal Bank of Scotland, Michelin Tyre, MPCG, the Dudson Group, Keele University, Staffordshire University, Stoke on Trent College and The Hanley Economic Building Society have also renewed.
Membership of the elite club gives organisations the opportunity to liaise closely with the movers and shakers of the North Staffordshire business community.
Benefits include having logos displayed on chamber stationery and the Chamber website as well as in the business directory, promotional literature and member's magazine.
Members also get exclusive access to local MPs through Chamber arranged meetings, tables at the Chamber's annual lunch and the opportunity to attend the annual British Chambers of Commerce Conference.
Chamber President Graham LaCourt said: "We are extremely pleased to be entering the fifth year of the scheme and are very grateful for the support we receive from all the Patrons.
"This commitment helps the Chamber play an even more pivotal role in promoting the needs of businesses and in driving forward regeneration."
Dave Thorpe, Internet Central's Director of Operations, welcomed the networking opportunities signing up to the Patron Scheme will bring.
He said: "As a local company in a fast developing industry we see our relationship with other businesses as vital in helping us remain at the cutting edge.
"The patron scheme will provide us with a forum to communicate with other Chamber members and leading business representatives so we can gauge their requirements and respond to their needs in the most efficient way possible."
